How to draw an ear the right way
When drawing portraits, many artists find it difficult to place an ear the right way. Some draw too small or big ears, others put ears higher or lower than needed. One of the main alignments of facial features is the location of an ear in relation to the nose. The top edge of the ear is at the same level as the eyebrow ridge. The bottom edge of the ear is at the nose base level. In other words, the height of an ear is the same as the height of a nose. You can actually draw two virtual lines, aligning the ear to the nose, making sure its location is correct. Alternatively, you may keep such an alignment in mind because erasing lines in ink is not easy.
