How to draw ears
When drawing portraits in the three-quarters view, artists often have troubles with locating an ear. There is one handy rule you may use to do it with precision. In this view, the width of the eyebrow can be compared to the distance from the eyebrow to the ear. This proportion depends on the point of view, so you have to measure it from life. Also, remember to align the ear to the nose. The ear's top and bottom edges are located on the same horizontal levels as the eyebrows and the base of a nose.
