How to draw a nose the right way
When drawing a nose, amateur artists often pay more attention to the nostrils rather than the border between the bottom and side planes of a nose. This results in constructive mistakes. A border between planes holds more information about the three-dimensional construction. To draw realistic portraits, you need to understand virtual planes of the head and face and use those planes in drawing. The reason why planes are important is because every plane has its angle and therefore catches the light differently. Knowing those planes helps to constructively "build" a drawing and render tonal values.
