Get some good quality brown ink
Portrait Drawing Tip #3 by Vladimir London - Get some good quality brown ink. "Sepia" is the color you may want to try. You may test several shades of brown ink to find out which one you like the best. Make sure to use special non-clogging inks for fountain pens. Fountain pen inks could be used with dip pens as well, but not vice versa.
